The New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) or Republic Act No. 12009 introduced a new provision highlighting the importance of data analytics in enhancing government procurement process. 📊✨

Section 24 of RA 12009 mandates the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB), through its Technical Support Office (TSO), to analyze data from the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System and procurement reports to ensure transparency in the procurement process.

This Procurement Data Analytics under RA 12009 envisioned to provide the following outcomes: 🔍 Enhanced Decision-Making: By analyzing vast amounts of procurement data, Procuring Entities (PEs) can make informed decisions that are backed by evidence and better plan strategically and oversight bodies can formulate and implement data-driven effective procurement policies which leads to  better outcomes for the public.
