She highlighted that the NGPA, signed into law last July, prioritizes inclusivity, transparency, and efficiency through digitalization.

โ€œThe government procurement process actively supports and uplifts our MSMEs, especially enterprises and women-led businesses. By empowering and strengthening their participation in public procurement, we are opening doors to a more equitable and resilient economy where every enterprise, regardless of size, can thrive and contribute to our shared prosperity,โ€ said Secretary Pangandaman.

She further added, โ€œThe NGPA is a reform we advocated to make the procurement system more modern, innovative, streamlined, and truly at par with global standards. I am proud of this law as it has been an advocacy of mine since day one as budget secretary. I would like to thank our President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and its principal authors, led by former Senator, now Education Secretary Sonny Angara, for their unwavering support, enabling us to pass it in less than two years.โ€
