During the FY 2022 Procurement Summit, the Department of Budget and Management Secretary and Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) Chairperson Amenah F. Pangandaman, and Executive Director Rowena Candice M. Ruiz of the GPPB – Technical Support Office (TSO) shared with GMA News the ongoing automation efforts for the revised procurement reports of the GPPB and its TSO. “In partnership with the UNODC, we were able to revise our procurement reports and make these simple, streamlined, and at par with open contracting data standard. We have actually just finished our validation exercise for this which was meant to rationalize all of these forms in preparation for the automation. What we envision for the automation is to really simplify our process in data mining so that we, in the GPPB-TSO, be able to have access to real-time data which we use in recommending procurement activities to the GPPB” Executive Director Ruiz explained. This is indeed a testament to GPPB’s commitment to the importance of openness, transparency, and accountability in public procurement! #WeMakeChangeHappen #2022ProcurementSummit #Automation
